Don Broco delivered an electrifying performance at KK Steel Mill on December 15th, captivating the audience with their infectious energy and dynamic stage presence. With support from Trash Boat and Ocean Grove both of whom were amazing, The Broco boys showed no hesitation diving into fan favorites.
Lead vocalist Rob Damiani's commanding stage presence and powerful vocals commanded the attention of the crowd, especially when Manchester Super Red Fans kicked in. It was an energy I've never experienced. Rob got absolutely everyone waving their hands in sync and somehow ended up with a fan's mario hat! Guitarist Simon Delaney, bassist Tom Doyle, and drummer Matt Donnelly kept the energy high with their tight musical prowess. The band flawlessly transitioned between anthemic rock tracks and soulful ballads, showcasing their versatility and range as performers. The passion in Matt's voice during One True Prince got me in my feelings.
Highlights of the evening included passionate renditions of hits like "Yeah Man" and "Come Out to LA," which had the crowd singing and dancing along. The seamless production and vibrant visual effects added an extra layer of excitement to the performance, creating a truly immersive experience for concertgoers. Bringing out the support acts to perform on "Action" was something I didn't know I needed in my life. Not to mention the love they have for their fans. As it was the Birthday Party Tour, they got Colin the caterpillar cake for a fan and had it crowd surf till it reached her. I wish someone would send me a crowd surfing cake!! More highlights include celebration of 10 years of "Priorities", the album that shot them into stardom.
Overall, Don Broco's performance at KK’S Steel Mill was a tour de force of raw talent and unbridled passion, leaving the audience buzzing with adrenaline and eager for more. Ending with T-shirt song was pure perfection. I'm not gonna lie, my t-shirt was getting swung above my head! It was a night to remember, solidifying the band's reputation as a powerhouse live act that knows how to leave a lasting impression. I can't wait to see what the guys produce for their next album, as they always evolve and create something epic. What a gig! Cowbells, caterpillar cake, mario hats and T-shirts being swung. I wish I could do it all again!
