The newly released 4 track EP ‘Reflections’ by Blue Nation is a true testament to the blues and rock combination that this band has become to be known for. With influences from legends Led Zeppelin and Cream to 90s Britpop and more recently rockers Rival Sons. These talented musicians are on a journey to make music that is authentic and heartfelt.
With tracks ‘Strangers’ ‘Every Single Time’ and ‘Hand me down’ the big hitting rhythmic guitars and drums which sit alongside the effortless vocals make you sit up and imagine the rock swagger of bigger bands from the 60s and 70s.
The last track ‘Old Friends’ is a mellower song, taking the pace down from the rock swagger to more of a gentle sway. Yet the strong storytelling lyrics and soothing vocals still has that bluesy vibe to it that helps tie this whole EP together.
The whole EP is a collection of measured, authentic songs that have been crafted and refined to create a personal induced wave of blues and rock influenced vibes.
